Matching couch, love-seat & chair - $150

Everything happens for a reason...So they say everything and everyone you meet happen for a reason... I am a big believer in that, but even bigger now.
Right after my first buy (the beds & nightstand) while I was contemplating how I was going to refinish them, what products to use, techniques etc. I found 2 beautiful end tables on Craigslist that are made by Ashley and had beautiful details. I had to have them for nightstands.

The owner was moving and had lowered the price and they were such a great deal, they are heavy and huge and they were perfect...

They come with pretty lightly tinted brown glass. I will be rubbing on a cherry stain to them to match my sleigh bed and will be posting after pics in the future.

Anyway, the previous owner just happened to be a furniture re-finisher who has a blog with her daughters with tips, tricks and their projects... They are really talented too! Homemade Home

She gave me some good advice and on their blog I saw a tip on breaking up toothpicks to stick in the hole of a stripped screw and it would tighten like new... This is one of the most useful tips I have ever learned. We have actually used it on one of the pieces of particle board furniture we just sold and it worked great!

So glad I met her! Thanks Lynda!
